Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-R and AMG GT Roadster has been launched in India. Both the high performance models were released by Roland Folger, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India. Mercedes AMG GT-R is priced at Rs 2.23 Crore, whereas the AMG GT Roadster is priced at Rs 2.19 Crore. Both the prices are Ex-Showroom all across india. With the introduction of these AMGs, the AMG powered vehicles on sale in India are now twelve in total.
The Mercedes AMG GT-R is powered by a massive 4.0 Litre Bi-Turbo V8 Petrol engine that generates 585 Bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-Speed DCT Speedshift Sports Transmission that delivers power straight to the rear wheels. The GT-R can glide up to a top speed of 320 Km/h, with 0-100 km/h coming only in mere 3.6 seconds.
The AMG GT-R includes a Panamericana front grille, electronic rear axle limited-slip differential, traction control, high performance exhaust system, Air suspension, carbon-fibre roof, 10-Twin spoke forged alloy wheels, AMG specific steering wheel and ambient interior lighting.

On the other hand, the Mercedes AMG GT Roadster sports the similar 4.0 Litre Bi-Turbo V8 Petrol motor, but has been tuned to generate lesser power output of 476 Bhp and 630 Nm of peak torque. The top speed is limited to 302 Km/h and it can accelerate from 0-100 in mere 4.0 seconds.
The AMG GT Roadster is also equipped with a similar Panamericana grille, contrast-red seat belts, chrome exterior package, draught stop, Air-Scarf and the AMG specific steering wheel. The Soft Top roof can be opened in 11 seconds on speeds upto 50 km/h.
There are plenty of trims to choose from with Mercedes-Benz also offering a ton of individualistic customization options with custom exclusive paint finishes and various interior feature options.
